CONGRATULATIONS
Hearty congratulations to Paul O’Connell from nearby Dromanna, on being selected as captain of the Lion’s Rugby team. All in Fedamore are delighted with the good news, and the inclusion of other Limerick based players. Lots of local rugby supporters are travelling to Croke Park supporting Paul and Munster in the Heineken Cup semi-final. Indeed a few loyal supporters are planning the trip to South Africa with the Lions tour.

LOTTO

SOCCER
Castle Rovers bowed out of the division 2A Cup on Sunday, losing out 4-3 in a thriller. Castle took an early lead through a scorcher from Brian O’Riordan but Kennedy Park went on to lead 2-1 at half time. Castle equalised when a Ciarán Fitzgerald volley was deflected to the net. However, two further goals against Castle looked to have victory sealed for the opponents but a Derek Kiely goal from 40 yards out resulted in a 4-3 scoreline. We now have four league games remaining. Our next game v Abbey Rovers at 6.30 Tuesday, May 5.
Lineout: J. Paul Kiely, Mike O’Dwyer, Derek Malone, Nicky Ryan, Ross McNamara, Derek Kiely, Ciarán Fitzgerald, Ronan O’Mahony, Michael Ryan, Brian O’Riordan, Neil McLaughlin. Subs: Ed O’Halloran, Paul Kiely.
