SOCCER
Our local soccer team were defeated by Aisling, Annacotty on Sunday last. Castle went two goals behind after 20 minutes but fought back with goals from Brian O’Riordan and Ciaran Fitzgerald to make it 2-2 at half time. However the second half didn’t go as planned.
The scoreline was disappointing as we hoped to maintain a good position in the league with lots of matches remaining. We will be back to winning ways.
Line out: Eddie Hickey, Mike Condon, Derek Malone (Capt), Nicky Ryan, Derek Kiely, Mike Hofler, Mike O’Dwyer, Ciaran Fitzgerald, Michael Ryan, Brian O’Riordan, J. P. Kiely. Subs used: Kieran Moloney, John McNamara and Barry Hofler.
