TABLE QUIZ
CARNANE National School Parents Council are holding a table quiz in the Ranch Bar on Friday, November 7 at 9pm in aid of school funds. €20 per table of four. Raffle on the night. Spot prizes etc., to any member of the committee. All are welcome.

SYMPATHY
The death occurred recently of Tommy Quinn, formerly of Enaghroe, Fedamore. Burial took place in England. Sympathy is extended to his relatives and friends.

SOCCER
Castle Rovers bowed out of the third round of the FAI Junior Cup on Sunday last against Newport. Castle welcomed back goalkeeper Eddie Hickey after his trip to Budapest as coach to Limerick Institute of Technology in the world Inter University games. The scorer came from Newport in the final 20 minutes play. Unfortunately, Castle lined out without several key players. Its now back to maintaining our challenge in Division two A League, midway in the league table.

CHURCH NOTICES
Visits to burial grounds: November 9, Taylor’s Cross, 11.30am, Fanningstown 12 noon. November 16: Church Grounds, 11.15, Roxtown 12 noon.

LOTTO
Castle Rovers weekly lotto draw was held in Doran’s Bar. Numbers drawn were 3, 4, 19 and 22. One player with three numbers Mary Condon, Fanningstown received €150.

CONFIRMATION DATE
Bishop Donal Murray will visit Fedamore parish for the celebration of Confirmation on Sunday, May 16 at 11am. Hopefully this will be a good date as we have to fit into the overall plan for the Diocese.
